I already have a corsair tx650w and samsung f1 hdd's

any suggestions/ammendments before I order?

yea thought about that but can't really be hooped with overclocking at the moment, save playing with that for the winter nights

I wouldn't buy that CPU for a gaming system if I wasn't overclocking. An E8400 will be much better at stock and is easier to clock high (less hot and goes further)

I'd still go for the q6600, it's best 'all-rounder', still capable of high clocks and still quad core. If you weren't planning on upgrading for a while it's the best option.
Agree with the Tuniq comment above, can't go wrong with one of those.

Also wondering what was wrong with the onboard sound if it's for a gaming rig. Sound from my P5Q Deluxe is superb!
