Looking at this spec for video editing (and the odd bit of gaming), just wondering if anyone has any contributions, i don't think I'll be overclocking soon so would the 650w be overkill? Or maybe best to have in case i decide to at a later date?

Budget is roughly around this price really give or take a few quid, prefer cheaper if possible of course but i like the idea of having the i7 950.

Also while we're at it, any screens at around £100-£120 anyone recommend? I was looking at some of the samsung's and the deals in the this week only bit.

for £4 more you can get a xfx 650w modular psu and that would give you enough room to do later gtx 460 sli
and for the screen theres the 22" BenQ for roughly £120

Well for £4 that seems silly not to! And the benq looks about right.

Would you consider some more drives for capture/render?

Never really thought about it, I'm just at college doing media production and have always made videos as a hobby so would i really need extra drives? If they make a big difference i could always get them at a later date?

Six-Core with SSD...

1090T vs 950 here :D

Cool, i was looking at the AMD but thought maybe an intel setup may be taken more advantage of with current video editing programs maybe supporting the quad core better?

SSD sounds nice, does it make sense with editing in mind to have and SSD for the OS and a separate hard drive for storage?

What size monitor you looking for?

Probably about a 22inch, just what ever is best around the £120 price range.
