Hi,

I want a powerful gaming system and the following is just within my budget. Please can you give advice on the components. i.e. would it be better to go for the 4400 x2 and drop down to x1900xt graphics, is the power supply in the p150 case up to the job? would cheaper memory be ok i.e. Corsair value select?

What do people think of the monitor?

I'd go for the X2 4400 because it has 1mb L2 cache compared with the 512kb on the X2 4200.

The PSU will be fine in the case, no worries there.

Any Ram PC3200 or above will be ok for your system.

You could keep the X1900 XTX if you were to go for a slightly cheaper motherboard unless there is some particular reason for the Deluxe Crossfire version?

Yep, the X2 4400+ is worth getting due to L2 cache size.
You could go for the MSI X1900XT, cheap & almost as quick.
Then keep the mobo (or get the cheaper ASUS mobo, which seems to be quite good too).

Yeah all good, tho i would change the hd to this:

Western Digital Caviar SE16 250GB 2500KS SATA-II 16MB Cache - OEM (HD-046-WD)

3 squid less and 16Mb cache, much better hd imo.
