One of my mates is after a new PC just wants the tower no screen. He has asked me for advice but i havn't kept up with what's what since the launch of the 6800 Ultra. So basically can you check the spec and value of this ready built tower.

Edit: Will this run the new Command and Conquer game at decent settings? As it is important it does. :)

You can still improve it just doing it yourself.... and from Overclockers as that system isnt from Overclockers clearly.

£20 more i know, but it would be much better then the pre-built rubbish you buy from a high street store.

Its got a faster CPU, a Card Reader that supports 30 formats, matching black case, drive and good quality PSU ..... ;)

Microsoft Works isnt anything to rave over, and IEEE 1394 FireWire® Interface is pretty much standard with practically any motherboard these days.

I'd put money on the spec i gave you doing a better job of running C&C3 then the system you quoted. Chances are it'll have a generic PSU, value memory, and some cheapo rubbish motherboard. I know what i'd choose.

As powerful as it can be for that budget mate.

Ideally a better graphics card and 2gb of ram would be better, but we understand you have a budget to stick to... ;) if not then let us know.. :)
