i've a mate who's old pc is finally three feet under.
he's given me a budget of £600, and i've specced this:

he wants it for playing games like CS:S, BF2 and DoW.
can you think of something better/different? will the PSU be up to the job (i'm sure it will)
 
I would go for a bigger PSU Wattage and get a Enermax instead of Antec.

And you can get some Geil 1 GB (2x512) PC5300 Ram for a few Quid more so it's worth getting that instead of the OcUK Value.

But apart form that Great.
 
the PC5300 ram will be wasted though because there will be no attempt at overclocking.

i've always heard of Antec PSU's being of the utmost quality.

<edit> btw, when your PC was working properly, was your 6800GS unlocked to 16pipes and 6 shaders?
 
Havent got a fogyest. I just Upped the MHz and the Memory was only for a Month then I had a problem with my Harddrive so I did a fresh windows install and I havent overclocked it for about 3 Months.

As for the RAM I didnt know you wernt doing any overclocking would be a waisst not to with that CPU
