Remember, £550 budget :D

Get rid of that 8600 for a 1950pro, unless your desperate for crap DX10 support.

Edit: find another 32quid an you can get the 8800GTS 320MB.

Switch the MOBO for the Abit IP35-E (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard @ 70 and thats 17! 15 quid off a GTS :p

The 8800 gts is a bad choice at the moment in my honest view as my evga 8800 gts 640mb was £205 delivered the 320mb cards are dropping in price practically every month.
I would say in 2 months time they will be £150 new,
so madness to buy one now at £180 ish.
Also the 1950 pro 512mb version is not as far behind the 320mb 8800 gts as people may know,i have had both cards on this rig and the difference isn't big at all.At high resolutions it's right up there with 8800 gts 320mb.
The western digital aaks range are faster than the barracuda range the e2160 will do 3.2 ghz easily under a tuniq and maybe even more.

This is one of them ongoing things though really.. you can wait and wait til the price gets lower, buy it, and then 2 months later another new card comes out blowing your out of the water and the price of yours drops more.. It doesnt really matter when you buy, prices will drop and better things will come out no matter how long you wait.

My advice: Buy the best you can for the budget you have now, new things will always come out and at some stage you may wish to upgrade certain things. :)

And that 8600GT is not bang for buck, sorry, it's rather the opposite.

The GTS is a much better buy at only a little more. Cut back on the rest and go for that.
