Hi.

Long time lurker, first time poster, was looking for some insight from the veterans of OcUk for my first rig, only been on laptops for the last 8 years :P

So here it is:

So any advice would be awesome

Thank you ;)

Yes it will fit that case, I have seen it in pictures, stick to the ram you currently have or the corsair XMS3 as they are low in physical height and will fit under the cooler.

would you recommend the 570 or the 6950 for a dual monitor setup?
I would possible SLi or Xfire in the future, which would scale better? :)

pretty much the same in scaling, if your only going to go dual monitor then get the gtx 570, for 3 monitors you need to add a second gtx570.

Oh god:( this can go on for days:D

GTX570 are faster than a 6950.

SLI and CF both scale well.

GTX570 cost more, about £60 for the pair.

Both do dual monitors fine.

ATI can do three screens of one card, you need two nvidia cards for three screens.

Also, would this be the right time getting an Ivy bridge compatible MB or is it still too far down the road?

Would that PSU be fine for the build he's got and in the future, crossfire two 6950s? I would go for the 750w PSU, it's only a few quid more.

Yup, that board is very nice. Bought it myself very impressed with it.
You can also run xfire / Sli later on, if as you said earlier, you may decide to to this?

Ok so this is an updated build...

Anything else I should have a look at, Ive stretched the budget by a £100, but if it means a more upgradable machine, im all for it ;)

Looks good, but as suggested by stulid, get the optical drive he recommended :)
On a random note, it seems as though more and more people are buying the PC-K62.

Came out of Stulid's recommendation, so he might be behind the mystery :P

And ye will add the cheaper drive thanks :P
