Get the 1TB Seagate 7200.12 drive, should give you better performance for the same money since it has larger platters. Otherwise, looks top notch. And the above (beat me to it)

Hawker

Why 2 lots of RAM?

Most of the benchmarks I've seen do not suggest it's worth buying extremely fast RAM for the i7 platform, 1600MHz seems to be a good price point, but TBH I've seen a lot of benchmarks showing 1333MHz to be plenty fast enough.

Change the Corsair RAM. For reasons, visit my urgent help thread lol, I've got that motherboard, and I've had to change the RAM due to incompatibility problems. Stick with some nice Kingston...or OCZ...or Patriot Viper. Just avoid corsair lol.

Rest looks fine.

could change the motherboard to a p6t deluxe if you've got spare cash?

p.s: 250 posts and free shipping! wewt!

You could go 1600 with that motherboard. Above that there's no need, and it's only around £30 more for 1600MHz.

How's this look now:

Has he got a third party cooler already, Hubby?

EDIT: Beaten to it - the combo suggested above is very good - and quiet.

I admire your optimism, Minato, but until you get your replacement memory we won’t be 100% sure that the above is the cause of all your problems.

It’s a very strong possibility that it is the cause of your problems but it's a bit early to be making definitive judgements about compatibility. ;)

However, even if the new memory does fix your problem it may have been that you just had temperamental set. Memory is perverse stuff and if it can find a way to balls up a build it usually will – but keeping in mind its perverseness it doesn’t necessarily mean that it will cause the same issues in another system of similar branded components.

EDIT: Looking a strong build for the money, Hubby.

I agree, even while we still can't be sure it's the RAM, if it is, it would be best to tell people to avoid possibly incompatible RAM. If it's not then no harm done really. Safe then sorry as they say =)
