Would like to buy today and was wondering could people check this over to make sure i haven't made any glaring mistakes or that there is a component or two in there that i really should be avoiding for something else please. also i'm not sure what powersupply to get. i was looking at the tagan one but then i read a bad review about its 12v rail so i am open to recommendations. i would like a modular one ideally.

Regards

thanks for the quick replies guys.

i've head good things about the seasonic stuff only thing i was thinking was it was not modular. the hiper's i've heard decent things also but that there are better psu's out there. the enermax i heard somewhere have issues with dfi boards and then the tagan's i heard that issue with the 12volt rail so i'm not srue tbh

There isnt much left after youve ruled out all the prior suggestions.

Really any good brand PSU maker with 450w+ should be fine.

What about these....

Antec NeoHE 500W Modular ATX2.0 PSU (CA-045-AN)

Thermaltake PurePower Power Station 520W Modular ATX2.0 PSU (W0073) (CA-025-TT)

To throw another PSU into the ring so to speak you could look at Antec as they are a good solid company and I haven't heard of any issues with them.

Seasonic are probably the best overall but they aren't modular at the moment so you have to decide if they are worthwhile on that basis.

lo again guys

looked over the psu's again today and have found no issue with the enermax and dfi i think i was getting it confused with the seasonic.

question is now is the 500w sufficient to run that system above overclocked or will the 620watt version be required?

cheers

A quality 500w PSU really should be fine, however as their probably isnt much of a price hike to the 620w psu, if still within budget i would get that.
