The Gigabyte board supports SLI and has dual BIOS which i dont think the ASUS has.

Plus Gigabytes support is fantastic.

Yup. looking great. It'll clock fine too. You might want to think about a 3rd party cooler if you're overclocking the CPU though, just a £13 one from Raijintek will be fine

Yes, got one stashed in my basket.
I have an Arctic Freezer pro, from my last rig, while disassembling to see what was salvagable, I found that the rear mounting screw had got so hot, it melted the hole holding the kit to the cradle. Definatly heat, it swells and rounds the break.
That was an i3-550. I digress.

Hi guys,
Thanks for the help and advice.
My new kit is winging it's way as we speak, with the addition of the below.
I know, as someone commented, 'the case is a bucket' but it's a functional bucket, with 3 x supplied fans too. and PSSST!..no one will ever see it.
Anyway, I was thinking of building it into my oak coffee table drawer, with a flip up keyboard.
I intend to use my barracuda hhd drive and Asus sound card.
