Hi all, got a £700 budget from a friend, and I am trying to get them the best PC Possible for their money, as they will not be able to upgrade for some time!

They have nothing yet, as they have only had a Laptop untill this point, this is what I have so far, but im sure there may be improvements I can make?

How about this? For 13 over budget you get a GTS:

This HDD is faster than the one you had so that's an improvement. He'll have open RAM slots for future upgrades as well. For the non-overclocker this is an excellent rig.
 
The Computer will not be overclocked initialy, as this will be the persons first decent desktop. It will be used for Valve - Hammer Editor, 3D Studio Max, and games mainly.
