Hi well i am ready to build a new pc and would like to know if i have got the spec right.

BFG GeForce 8800 GTS OC 640MB GDDR3 HDTV/Dual DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail

Intel Core 2 DUO E6600 "LGA775 Conroe" 2.40GHz (1066FSB) - Retail

Asus P5N32-E SLi nForce 680 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard

Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 320GB ST3320620AS SATA-II 16MB Cache - OEM

G.Skill 2GB DDR2 NQ PC2-6400 (2x1GB) CAS5 Dual Channel Kit

I thought this ram was quite cheap as i really won't overclock a lot, just enough to give the pc a little kick.

My needs Gaming on a hidef TV 42 inch, upgrade later to another videocard same one, and also to add a quad core cpu when the price drops.

Windows xp pro for a while still until Vista is more mainstream then move over to it.

Anything wrong with the above setup?

nothing wrong as far as I can see...

will you be overclocking?

you could get the alternative Gigabyte DS3 mobo which is really good also and cheaper..

otherwise I cannot see any problem with that spec...

which case and dvd rom drive are you going for? or will you be using them for another pc?

good luck

The case i might go for is Thermaltake Tai-Chi Super Tower Case water cooling, although it looks a bit small inside kinda putting me off it, but is hard to tell from pic's of the net, anyone have this csae is there enough space inside?

Overclock a little not much.

What ever the best Nec dvd writer is around now.
