Due to order in a few days, mate is waiting on a credit card to arrive. Has a budget of 1500 but anything under is good!

I told him to spec himself something using a 2500k / 7970 / 8gb ram / sli compatible board (for upgrades obv)

Thats what he come back with, personally woulda gone for the windforce version of the card but meh. I leave this in your capable hands. He needs everything including OS, which Ive noticed he missed out.

He also wants a closed circuit water cooling system thingy.. like a h80 or similar :)
 
I would change the 2500k for a 3570k and therefore also a Z77 motherboard, but apart from that looks pretty good! Maybe the SSD to a Crucial M4? They seem to be the most recommended on this forum..
