After getting a lot of help from this forum 'thank you guys' I've kinda settled on this spec 'maybe'.. but can I just get one of you pro's to check for anything I may have missed 'IE' incompatibility or possible better components.

Intel Core i5-4590 3.30GHz £149.99
Silverstone Fortress FT03 Tower Case £109.99
Gigabyte Z97M-DS3H Intel Z97 £68.99
Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2x4GB) £67.99
Western Digital Caviar Green 2TB £64.99
Corsair Builder Series CX 500w Modular '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply £49.99
SanDisk Ultra II 120GB 2.5 Inch SATA 6Gbps Solid State Drive £46.98

Total : £573.92

I have a GTX 680 I can use.

You need an SFX psu with that case. A standard ATX psu won't fit.

Also the board won't fit either as you need Mini-ITX or DTX.

The max length for the graphics card is also 10" or 254mm so you would also need to make sure your card would fit.

Are you after a smaller case ? Maybe take a look at the Corsair 350D or Air 240. The 350D comes in a non windowed version as well. There is also the Corsair 250D which is a mini itx case.

YOUR BASKET
1 x Corsair Obsidian 350D Micro ATX Case - Black (CC-9011028-WW) £75.95
1 x Corsair Obsidian Series 250D Mini ITX Compact Gaming Case - Black (CC-9011047-WW) £71.99
1 x Corsair Carbide Series Air 240 High Airflow PC Case - Black (CC-9011070-WW) £69.95
Total : £238.40 (includes shipping : £17.10).

Corsair PSUs aren't great - go for Superflower instead.

Case looks like a waste-paper bin, but I suppose that's a subjective choice.

As the mechanical hard drive is unlikely to be used just as storage, but to also install less regularly used programs I'd go for a 7200rpm drive as those WD Greens are designed as storage drives and are sloooow.

is ther a reason hes being told B85 chipset and speced 1600mhz ram? you can get a microatx Z97 board for a few £s more and 2133Mhz memory for same price basically. drop the expensive case and put extra money into better stock hardware with overclocking potential.

need to be quick tho. its the last set of that ram and only x2 of those cases left. You could downclock the ram and tighten the timings like the review guy done.

Add: Raijintek Rhea Heatpipe CPU Cooler £12.95 brings total to £570.42 - Max cooler height case can hold is 120mm, the Rhea is 118mm

thats odd the case I have in my basket is this one http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-179-SV

It says it supports mATX and the psu, full size gpu

When I clicked on the case in your post it took me to this one:

YOUR BASKET
1 x Silverstone Fortress FT03 Mini Case - Black (SST-FT03B-Mini USB 3.0) £89.99
Total : £99.59 (includes shipping : £8.00).

I have just had a look at Silverstone's website and there are 2 versions of the FT03. The FT03 Mini and the FT03.

Anyway the one you have chosen looks ok with those parts.
