Check windows update asap - ms issues emergency fix for security flaw

Interesting potential vulnerability if I've read it right - a print server exposed via an unsecured or weakly secured WiFi network could allow someone to gain elevated access to an organisation's network without stepping a foot in the building.

Irc it has to be an authenticated user. But yeah it's a huge security issue for any windows domain. I'm surprised just how little I've seen about this in news outlets considering how it came about and how big it is.

Updated today.

Bit annoying as i use a printer on the network, which i can only presume is part of the vulnerability?

Will have to do some digging as how to this works. Whether it's because the feature is enabled or disabled, or when it's used?

Does anyone know if this got updated?

I needed to print something and then realised i've got the printspooler service disabled still.

Going to have to use the AMD Phenom computer next door that's connected to printer to print now (it's not on the net), just needs a good 10mins to boot up. Said document i don't really want to take the risk on.
