I'm guessing it's either what Dr EM said, or because the drivers in the speakers are moving, they are setting up some resonance at a lower frequency that you can hear.

Either that or Sound City has been invaded by super mutants from the future - ruuuuuuuuuuunnnnnnnnnnnnn! :D

That's a great result - make sure you protect that good hearing!

ER20 ear plugs are great for loud gigs and clubs etc, especially if you're working, and still worthwhile if you're not!
