Yesterday morning I was doing my normal "self-checks" and found a pea-sized lump in my nether regions that wasn't there a few weeks ago. GP appointment is booked for tomorrow afternoon, so no medical advice needed here I'm cautiously optimistic that it is not cancerous as I'm not showing any of the other typical signs (tenderness, enlargement of the testicle etc) and I think that the lump is part of the epididymis however if it is something sinister then my regular checks mean that I've hopefully caught it early. I'll post some updates when I can.

Anyway, the point of this thread is to remind all of you:

• Boys, check your junk regularly!

• Women, check your love pillows regularly!

There's no excuses, and who doesn't love a quick fondle anyway!

Thankfully (I think) my GP is male so should avoid some embarrassment there!

Good luck and keep us posted. I had it in 2011 and had surgery to remove it and also needed radiotherapy on the other side. I posted about it at the time so there's probably a lot of info in my thread below. But if the doctor suspects it to be abnormal then the next step is an ultrasound scan.

I visited the GP and he told me it was nothing to worry about as not attached to the main testi Having a scare certainly makes you re-evaluate life goals anyway!
