Check your tax code

I had a shock this morning as my new tax code letter arrived... 34L

What the hell????

It turned out to be an error on their side and I've got it corrected. But they have made repeated errors with my tax over the last few yesrs so it's worth checking they have got it right.

It's the latest in a catalogue of issues...

1) They taxed me one month at 40% on my entire pay.

2) They took too little tax off me one year. When I queried it they adjusted my tax up but it still wasn't right. I checked again and was told it was now correct. A couple of years later they realised their mistake and demanded it all back in one hit. I pleaded poverty and am now paying it back over a year via a "hardship loan" lol.

3) Then they try to take back the same amount through my tax code as well.

It's nuts. They can't seem to get anything right and I'm PAYE with no other income so I should be a simple case.
