Just to show what poor wheel alignment can do to a trucks tyre after a mere 800 miles!

Turns out, the alignment issue was a bent steering arm, which eventually caused a complete failure of my steering! Not good!

The tyre has overheated and burst along its inside edge, nasty had it popped @ speed.....

was about to pass a truck on abit of dual the other day when the front right wheel let go

truck went right into the fast lane nearly hitting the central reservation then back off into the hard shoulder as the guy got control

i would have been squished.

look after your tyres !

I often get it checked if it doesn't feel right, actually just had the car MOT'ed and got my local garage to do the geo - I also get it redone when I get my tyres changed.

Good advice. :)

I remember a few years ago going along the motorway on my way on holiday and seeing one of the tyres on fire on an artic trailer!

Truck tyres do get hammered though, especially if the trackings out as you say.
I think the one's that get the most punishment are the ones on the rearmost axle on a 3 axle artic trailer - they just get dragged sideways when ever turning the trailer.
