I am looking at a net book that will not go into Windows (version 7). It gives you a screen that says windows is loading files and then gives you an error message that says

"windows failed to start etc

Status: 0xc0000185
Info: the boot selection failed because a required device is inaccessible.

We are also asked to put windows disc and choose repair.

The net book doesn't have a DVD drive.

Is there anyway we can run a hard drive checking program from USB? I mean using the USB boot option like you would to install windows via USB

Also when we plug a USB pen drive in the BIOS it lists it twice in the boot options

1) UEFI: chipbank SD/M...

2) ChipbankSD/MM Read....

The other 2 book options are

3 ) Windows boot Manag....

and

4) Realtek PXE B03 D00

Which option out of the 4 boot options should be choose if we try and reinstall windows from USB?
