Just a couple of queries as its nearing the time when i start putting all the bits together,
according to the guide i should add some ink/food colouring to the water so when it leaks it will show up on the white paper towels below.
But wont this put imprities into the loop? which is was the whole point of using vinegar and cleaning stuff out etc?

Secondly is there any way of turning the PSU on without plugging it into the motherboard to test the loop outside the case?
or does it all have to be plugged together with a board and psu sitting beside it

Thanks in advance

I got an old pc out, powered it up and just connected the pump to the PSU from that PC, leaving the "new" pc off. Glad I did as I hadn't put the bung in the reservoir, and the pump immediatedly started pumping water out the hole! :o

I understand you can connect a wire between two connectors on the power cable's mobo socket to "trick" the PSU into thinking the mobo was turning on. I wouldn't want to do this myself - connecting the wrong wires might be a bit too interesting.

Is it not always the green wire pin 11 to the last black wire pin 14 on 20 pin ATX connectors. Use a paper clip and use the switch on the power supply.
