Hi guys,

Just a quick question here.

Putting in a "new" - well second cpu into a build for a friend (he brought the bits) and what is a good cpu stressing program that i can use to test and make sure the cpu is working, ie, to test and make sure its all working.

Never used a cpu stressing program before so i have no idea what to use/how long to do it for. I hear something called Prime tossed about these forums, is it recommended ?

Cheers

prime95, intelburntest are ones i use. intelburntest gets temperature up higher than prime does. Best to run both as some errors show up on one but not the other. Normally a 15min run will show up obvious errors when your overclocking then when you have a seemingly stable system people normally tend to run for hours to check stability.

Thanks, much appreciated :)
