About a month ago a chappy from the forums here very kindly specced me up a rig between the £1k - £1.1 price range... i'm just wanting to make sure that this still looks ok! =) The only thing that worries me slightly is that I'm wanting to try and make the rig as future proof as possible in terms of cpu and graphics card updates... and for that reason the motherboard worries me a little, i'm not sure if i'm better off with an sli motherboard and then in a years time if i'm running a bit low on the old graphics power, i could then just whap another 8800 in?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Just about at the ordering stage and so wanting to make sure all is looking ok!

Cheers.

Your stup is good, when comming to the SLI setup this doesn't give always a performance increase, and gives as far as i can read not the desired result. And to be honest, a year from now GFX should be a lot better meaning 1 card will certainly outperform a gtx, look at the current GT, almost the same performance of the GTX.
Your system is good and should be OK for the next year or 2

Looks good, you might want to get a SATA DVD drive instead of the IDE one you have selecetd, and IFAIK that case doesnt come with any fans, mine didnt, but that was 2 years ago now. Might want to add another couple of 120mm fans.
As for the CPU cooler, a lot of people here swear by the Tuniq coolers, they're certainly cheaper, and from what I've read will perform about the same, if not a little better

You might want to wait a while as well tillthe new GTS comes out. If the rumours are true, then it's going to be at least as fast as the GTX and will probably be quite a bit cheaper. Which leaves you extra cash to spend on the rest of it. I suppose it depends on how long you can wait :) I've heard it's towards the end of November the new GTS is comin out
