Checking routing and pings

Assuming Windows, open a CMD prompt:

Code:
ping 1.1.1.1

Code:
tracert 1.1.1.1

1.1.1.1 being their IP address and on the assumption their router responds to ICMP. The tracert command will still work up to a point even if their router ignores the request.

The answer is 'maybee', but a lot depends on the game...

You can try viewing the current connections to your PC, using Resource Monitor, you should see a number of connections to BF4.exe

I dont have BF4, but this should give you a general idea of what you should be looking for.

One of the connections listed, will be your opponent, it also shows latency, but you'll have to use tracert if you want routing info.

I don't know how BF4 online play works, but I would assume all the traffic goes via the BF servers, rather than have players directly connect to each other.

I could be wrong.
