It seems that the rate that is given on the post office website for currency exchange is quite a bit worse than the rate given if you just turn up at a bigger branch and get currency on demand.
Today was only given 1.8985 USD per GBP which in the current climate is quite a rip-off! In future will go elsewhere! M+S is good I think...
Don't even get me started on how they are legally allowed to call it 'commission free' when they are taking 5%!!! Yet people moan about their credit card companies taking 1.75%.... stupid. Even using a debit card at the ATM would have got me a better rate than I got today.
