This thread is a call to any cheese aficionados to divulge information on your current favourites. Currently along with one of my mainstays the Lincolnshire Poacher, I have some Ogleshield- West Country cheese made from Jersey cows' milk. Both these were picked up from Welbeck Farm Shop in Nottinghamshire which is well worth a visit if you're in the region. If you're big on pork pies the Stilton topped edition is a winner. Also enjoyed some Manchego recently, first time I've tried it- very creamy.

What delights have you picked up recently?

Most recently, I had crackers topped with St. Agur and beetroot and ginger chutney. Amazing.

Sounds lovely- I've not had ginger chutney I don't think. Tend to go with a farmhouse pickle, sweet plum chutney or even red onion chutney. Which crackers- Jacobs? Thin oat crackers can go down a treat.

Ever been up to Welbeck Rotty? G.H Porter provisions in Newark have some good 'uns aswell. Love that store, it's just like stepping back sixty years or so.

Glad this has been resurrected.

Latest acquisition is white Stilton with Apricot from Delilah in Nottingham (lovely store, worth checking out if you're in the area, it's on the top of Middle Pavement). I've also been enjoying Pendle Forrest (smoked cheese, like Bavarian but not rubbery/plasticy) and blue Stilton.

Cropwell Bishop blue Stilton is wonderful, so flavoursome.
