Chefs licking their fingers?

See this a bit on Chefy shows, also dip spoon in and taste, wipe spoon quickly with some cloth. Can't be hygienic?

Also seen shows where chefs actually drip sweat into the food. Classy.

I've always found the hygine standards to be surprising on some of these shows. I remember Madhur Jaffrey on Saturday Kitchen handling raw chicken, then wiping her hands on her towel and carrying on preparing other ingredients!

Yeah sweat, cross contamination and the like is not nice. I'm not too bothered about the spoon dipping though.
