Chelsea release Ray Wilkins :/

yep I'm surprised wilko had a special bond with all the players
well so it seemed

must be a problem between him and carlo

Apparently he was fired at half time in a reserve game, prepare for game, go sit on bench for 45 mins, go in to for 15 mins, get fired, never get seen at Chelsea again.

Bit odd, though its being said he did very little coaching and his main role, for 350k a year, was interpreter for Ancelloti, who can speak decent English now. My guess is he had a better assistant coach in mind and keeping him on as a 350k a year interpreter is a bit mad. Dodgey way to get rid of him though.

If he'd just become redundant they would have asked him leave in a more conventional manner. Telling him to leave the club half way through a game suggest there was more to it.

Several people are saying the Wilkins leaving thing effected them for this game, conviniently forgetting they got beat by a not very good Liverpool team(even if they performed well).

Followed by a very narrow 1-0 Fulham victory, going 1-0 down to blackburn before the Chelsea game and taking a LONG time to get 2 goals in that game, a poor draw with a not very good Villa before that.

Infact, Chelsea have been between average and poor since they beat Arsenal a bunch of games back.
