Hey folks,

I know a number of you have mechanical keyboards on here, so...

I have a SteelSeries 7G, and recently I've been fancying a fresh look for it. White key caps would be pretty nice. I was just wondering if anyone had any experience with the quality of these replacement key cap sets, and where you bought them.

I found these on eBay (I hope the link's OK. If not, I'll remove it) but like I said, I'd ideally like some white ones.

Thanks :)

I have the red WASD + Esc caps for my Filco and they fit/match perfectly. Filco uses Cherry keys too, so in theory it should fit your SteelSeries just fine. The quality is as good as the default caps.

Posting any links to the bay is forbidden, I would assume the other link is also not allowed as normally linking to any other store website that sells any computer parts is not allowed.

Otherwise, cool find

Filco; SteelSeries, etc. all seem to use the same size/profile, so I have no concerns there.

The one area I think I will have problems with the 7G is the large enter key if I went for a full set as opposed to the 37 or 39 key sets. The small backspace would be fine as a custom key or blank, though.

Thanks for the links. Certainly given me something to think about. Looking at the prices of them, I'm trying to decide which colour (red or purple) to get to try a set of the cheap ones. They're made using ABS plastic, so should be fine in terms of quality. I do love the blank whites, though... I might end up ordering a set of both :p

As for the links, I'm hoping they'll be OK, seeing as nothing in any of them is competing with an OcUK product. I can sort of understand the eBay one, but I'm sure you're all capable of searching eBay for an OcUK-stocked product without my guidance :D
