Chess robot breaks seven-year-old boy's finger

V2 of the chess robot will replace the steel claw with a soft silicone gripper to screams of HEALTH AND SAFETY GONE MAD in a Russian accent.

V3 will make some minor tweaks to the speed and force of the industrial arm due to an unfortunate decapitation incident.

You got to wonder when they design the mechanism that picks up the chess pieces, they must work out how much force it needs…

Yes, the perfect amount of force for picking up a chess piece is the same as the perfect amount to break a child's finger. Good job the kid wasn't playing dominoes against a dominoes robot.
