Just got a chevrolet spark as a courtesy car while damage done by halfords to my car is being repair.

It has to be the worse car i have ever driven in my life, it is a 13plate with 8k miles on the clock, its unbelievably slow, the steering is down right dangerous the slightest uneven road and your steering is moving all over the place, slightest turn of the wheel and you end up the other side of the road its dangerously over sensitive! The car itself smells of old people, i guess i cant blame the car for that but it has that musky old person scent! The interior is also horrible place to be plastic fantastic with a fake carbon fiber middle dash which looks terrible, also the turn signal noise sounds... cheap? if that's even possible.

Only good bits is that the seat is surprisingly comfy

Funnily enough that's the courtesy car we got a couple of years ago when my wife's car was in the body shop after being vandalised. I too was genuinely shocked at how utter **** these cars are - ours didn't even have a dashboard just a crappy little pod thing that gave the speed and had a blue/indiglo background.

one i have has got like a mini-type speedometer knock off thing with digital rev counter, looks like they badly tried to copy mini's and made it 100x worse.

Hope they finish my car sooner rather then later dont want to be seen in this grannymobile.

Could the OP let us know what they normally drive as I find getting in a courtesy car is always a shock to the system coming from a well specified car.

That's a shame as the bigger chevrolet is an ok thing (can't remember what it's called - it's not a spark or the volt) despite being gutless

I think everyone who has ever had a courtesy car has driven one of these. I had one a while back for a couple of days and the only car I disliked more was a Hyundai i10 I had for a similar reason.

Well, remember that it's really a Daewoo...not that many American cars have even halfway decent quality interiors anyway.

Absolutely.

not that being an american car would be a good thing, but korean is the bottom of the barrel and only fit for use in circuses

i had a Daewoo matiz as a courtesy car once, 0.8 petrol engine.

i actually asked the guy if i was allowed on the motorway with it.

I had one as a hire car for a week, and it felt like a go kart. However, it is much preferable to the one I got originally which was a god awful 1.2 Corsa. And to be honest, the Astra 1.6 I had a couple of weeks later was just as bad.

Had one of these on holiday. The AC was good, that was about it. The dash does look like its been stuck on as an after thought.

I drove some of the best roads I've ever been on (used as stages in the Cyprus Rally) in a Chevvy Spark :(
