Chicken cooking?

Quick to the internet!

Say I was defrosting some chicken in the microwave, thought i had put it on super low but in actual fact was on high and the chicken has started to cook through- quite a lot... is it still safe to cook and eat? will it be disgusting?
 
In the end i decided not to risk it, though it sounds as if i would have been alright. Oh well i guess i know now for future **** ups.

also i would have asked in la cuisine, but i didn't think this was really the type of question they'd appreciate.
