Chicken sell by dates...

Yes i am aware there was a spate of threads about eating food out of its sell by date but i can't find them.

So quick question and also for help in the future, can chicken be eaten 2-3 days out of its sell by date?

Okay well the chicken went off on the 7th, so 'technically' an hour ago...but even then, it would be late in the day, ON the sell by date.
