sounds good but I tried this many a time never seems to taste as good as it does in the shops

A tandoori oven would be better

can you please explain step 2 a little bit more?

they taste better on a BBQ, than in an oven, i cut them quite small and they take about 5 mins on a BBQ
step 2 skewering?
soak wooden skewers in water for at least 30 mins (or use metal ones)
then just skewer them. sometimes i will use chopped green peppers and/or a small onion halved

It was really good. I cooked it on the griddle so it got the char-grilled restaurant taste. I used dried garlic and ginger so they could go in the dried spice mix too. Just need to add yoghurt and lemon to go :)

glad you liked it :) and dont forget the oil and mint
if you ever get the chance, do try it with fresh garlic/ginger, it's worth it.
Also tastes really nice on the BBQ, just make the chicken pieces smaller, so it can cook quicker

holy thread revival batm...
True, i forgot all about this thread lol

Total perfection... I doubled all the spices and used 2 thumb sized pieces of fresh ginger, fresh coriander and ground down the cumin in the 'coffee grinder that has never ground coffee'... (keep for spices)... Served with Greek yoghurt with mint sauce added (sounds weird, but it works so well), rice & peas and roasted veg . Thanks a million for this!!!

NOTE: This was 100% adherence to the recipe.

glad u liked it, its even better done on a BBQ.
