Well, I have had this case for a long time and it has in its time also suffered a bit of damage as well as now being too small for my needs.
I have my PC in my living area next to my TV, so I need to keep my fans running at about 7v however that is still a little loud. They are old 80mm Vantec "Stealth" fans, two up front and two up the rear. The problem is this doesn't move much air in an already small case and it isn't helping my GPU keep cool causing the odd artifact here and there, and which I feel may have helped a problem with my previous GPU.
What I would like to invest in, is a larger single chamber case to house my rig. I don't have a "good" system per sé but it does generate enough heat, plus having a case that will cater for my future needs is a bonus.
The main components that may have issues fitting are a Thermalright XP 90c CPU cooler with a 92mm Panoflo fan sat on top (one of the thicker ones) and my 8800 GTS 640. The restricting factor may be the Antec Neopower modular PSU I have, which has a bottom 120mm fan and 80mm exit fan which may not fit in a case which requires a bottom mount PSU, unless its safe to invert it.
This is how it looks with my old GFX card and it now sports another 80mm fan up the rear.
My budget is around £50, however I may be happy to stretch that by £20 for the right case.
The one that springs to mind at the moment is the Antec 900 however the PSU might be an issue with the 120mm bottom fan.
I could also save and buy the Coolermaster Cosmos, which really would suit my needs without having to sell vital organs. I do like what I've seen with this case, but is it really worth the extra in the real world?
I have also thought about modding the Chieftec and cutting two 120mm holes up front and two 92mm holes at the back but I don't know if it's really worth it and I could spend £60 on the hole saw bits and fans anyway.
Any ideas would be really appreciated. Adding a better cooler to the gfx cars isn't what I really want to do yet, I just feel there's is a lot of heat being trapped in the case
