Hi guys,

Couldn't find a section for power supplies, this thread can be moved if needed.

I was wondering if any of you have any experience with Chieftec PSUs? I have a Chieftec A-135 Series 750W PSU, it's been in my rig for a couples years now.

However I am upgrading my ageing C2D setup to a 2500K setup. Since investing quite a bit of money and hoping to do some overclocking, I am considering in investing in a more expensive PSU as well.

Anyone have any experience with Chieftec? I head they were rebranded Antec PSUs? Do correct me if I'm wrong. Do I need to worry about getting a new PSU?

Thanks :)

It's not one I have heard of, don't think I have seen any referenced on here by anyone either...sorry bud.

Thanks for the info, hadn't heard of Sirfa/Sirtec. If they supply other big name companies, it should hopefully be alright. Has been perfect so far, but then again not really under any stress. I plan on running the following:

-2500K
-MSI MSI Z68A-GD65
-8GB XMS3 (1600MHz)
-Crucial M4
-Radeon 6870
-Xonar D2X
-four HDDs

I should be alright at stock, but would you recommend better quality if I'm overclocking?

Yeah I was considering picking up a cheap second hand 6870 from somewhere to run crossfire till the top end 7xxx series come out.

Is there an easy way to measure total system power draw?
