now i want to keep the steel bare either plain like it is (if i can get a good enough finish) or brushed
the other side panel top and bottom plate will be the same and clear coated
i want to cut a full window and either mesh behind it (perforated steel or wire mesh)

also the front bezel feet handle and chassis will be painted the same colour suggestions?
what do you guys think any input or suggestions would be appreciated
this is my first case mod so bare with me
and were already on hold till later this week run out of sanding mats alltho i could cut the window

Not too keen on the metal look, had this case years ago...:D really nice case. I would keep it black and get the metal frame inside powder coated black also, a side window could be a welcome addition.... ;) Good luck with your mod...

+ id like to do it all my self so unless i can powder coat in my back garden then its rattle cans for me lol

spraying the panels is a possibility but not black ive only ever had black and beige cases so i wanna try something different

i think it will looks great in the end. keep up the good work.

saw one of those cases for sale the other day. had a quick look :)

I'm liking the bare metal look.
Why not just sand all the metal panels then completely get rid of the plastic front panel, replace it with dense mesh?

Get some brasso on that side panel and give it a mirror finish

Exactly what I was thinking, get as fine a sandpaper as you can and give it a good going over with a sanding block. Then polish it up. Saw a case on here that had a mirror finish and it looked well bling :)

@ryder thats what i thought when id finished it can look much nicer
qwerty lol its not quite at the brasso stage yet i only had up to grade 80 sanding sheets for my b&d mouse ill go shopping later this week i wanna get some wet&dry on it i know its not going to come up as nice as alu but i think the cold dirty steel look will be sweet

as you can see its quite rough atm
