Hi guys,

my friends daughters are wanting to talk to their friends via MSN messenger (or windows live messenger, whatever they call it these days).

Obviously they are concerned about their safety, and so far they have only let them talk to their friends on the mothers account so she can add the contacts herself and check the message logs.

They want to be able to talk to their friends on their own computers in their rooms, so i have been looking around for a solution. Microsofts Family Safety Centre has been going on about adding the ability for the parents to control all contacts on their childs account for a while now, but nothing has materialised yet. What i cant understand is why i cant find a third party variant built specifically for parental control worries. With all the different messnger software out there that can commuicate with msn contacts, i would have thought someone would have made a child friendly version by now. Does anyone know of such software where the kid can have their own logon but cannot add contacts themselves, or are they going to have to wait until MS come good on their promise to add it to FSS?
