I think its unreasonable because they have no choice
plain water tastes crap and leaves me thirsty! so i understand why people don't like it.
They may seem unreasonable to you, a 5% squash person, but certainly some parents will rock 50% squash, and they can't really control exactly how much squash is present, so a blanket ban is the only option.
Also, squashes can vary massively, so you might be using 5% of a Robinsons fruit based squash, but the people rocking 50% could be using tartrazine fueled sugar-juice.![]()
Thanks for the concern but I am lucky enough to have children that would rather pick having a subway over a McDonalds .
I don't know the reason behind the ban yet so cant comment yet . I can undertand fizzy drinks but squash I don't know yet.
There have been some crazy rules lately like they have banned peanuts but not contain traces of peanuts and yet they wont ban grapefruit as my daughter is allergic to it yet there is actually no student allergic to peanuts![]()

send the kid to school with squash, tell school to stfu and be glad you're not the offspring of all the muppets on this forum.
Is the grapefruit allergy full on anaphylactic like peanut allergies usually are?
Not as such , It causes her medication not to work and then has life threatening knock on effects .
But its the fact no kids in school are allergic to peanuts
So have you spoken to them yet?
On the plus side this thread is going the way of most advice threads.
Poster asks for advice.
Poster gets advice he doesn't like.
Poster gets annoyed and defensive.

Subway is also extremely unhealthy.
I see no logic here so this is what I am trying to gather before I go in empty handed .
If she just comes in to contact with it, or does it need to be ingested in a relatively large dose?
It's just that peanut anaphylaxis can be triggered by a stupidly small amount, hence people being to neurotic about it.
How so? Compared to what?
