Children not allowed squash in school !

I've not read the whole thread but if it's not already been mentioned... fluoridated-water-tinfoil-hat-conspiracy-Illuminati-etc.

Yeah because he is so fat  If you took it for one second the whole pizza was cooked in a tray with an inch of oil rather than a drizzle I suggest you take yourself to some cookery classes

I didn't say he was fat; I've no idea and don't really care. My point was that much like your Subway 'benefit', you seem to be indicating that at least he eats tomatoes now because they are on top of a pizza cooked with oil. Is this better than him having no tomatoes at all? Maybe, unless he will eat other fruit and veg not placed on top of pizza.

For one I have never said he would pick subway because it is healthier so everyone made that mistake. He picks subway because of the ingredients. He does eat every other fruit and veg going especially brussel sprouts .

I have no idea what that link is either

Hold on hold on...he eats brussel sprouts but doesn't like the taste of water?! They taste like little mouthfuls of pump!

:p

Anyways...confused how this thread turned into a subway is the den of all evils thread!

Sorry but I don't force my kids to eat drink things they don't like , Don't get me wrong I encourage them to try everything but you can tell when your child doesn't like things or is faking not wanting to eat/drink them .

The squash we give him is no added sugar so just the natural sugar in them and we are lucky he is extremely advanced for his age so not stupid at all and well into sports so not fat just a big built lad :D

I bet he's not really 'extremely advanced' for his age. Just parent talk :p

Only seen the first few pages, but people moaning about squash? :o

My kids drinking mainly squash and they even have the odd fizzy drink (Come at me bro)

I had the same things that I allow my children to have (In moderation) and I turned out fine (Well.... health wise anyway).

It peed me off a little one day when my daughter was at nursry, they said no more choccy bars with the lunch, fair enough I stopped putting them in, and a couple of weeks later she comes out with a Lolly for being "Good"....

It has been this way at my sons school for ages, at first he didn't like water, just preferred juice and wouldn't drink water. I think its a government push on schools to become healthier maybe.

But low and behold we converted him and he is now on water full time

A conditional treat is better than a constant one maybe?

Neodite i'm with you matey! Must be because were both from Nuneaton haha! I let my kids have squash and pop (within moderation) as I was allowed as a child to have. I'm not fat and neither are my children, exercise and everything within moderation is fine. Schools are just poking their noses in as the many JK parents feed their children nothing but crap!
