Okay, I'm helping a friends parents out doing work around their childrens home. We had a PC for downstairs for the kids to use but it's too old and slow.

We need a tower only that is good for general use and some gaming. I've already got a GTX 560TI that I don't mind donating if it is still up to the job.

I would prefer too stay away from AMD if possible and try and make it an Intel based system.

If it's getting built we would need a copy of windows.

Budget is about £350.

Use Doomedspeeds as starting point, then swap out mobo for;

and cpu for;

And cut out the CPU cooler. That should come to ~£370 (assuming you qualify for free shipping).

If you want to save more, then drop down to a Pentium instead of the i3;

The Bitfenix Comrade is fine for the 560ti, not sure about the Zalman in Danny75's build - you would need to check.

The CPU (both the pentium and the i3) is perfect for a 560Ti.

And the spec'ed PSU is fine too. I actually run a 400w PSU for my own 560ti.

It needs to last as long as possible really.

I'm going to give him a call later and say I can get it done for around £400 and then maybe get him to order the gear tomorrow.
