Ok ladies and gentlemen, i need some of your seasoned advice.

Am in the need of some more chillout tunes.

At the moment i listen to such cd as...

Massive attack
International Observer
Urban species
Boards of Canada
Royksopp

The egg
Central heating

The Ambient PSY Chillout channel on shoutcast...

Will also listen to bands such as...

Counting crows
Sister hazel
3 doors down
Dr Dre ( i like a bit of rap now and then :D )

So, what would people recommend chilling too?

Many thanks,
Woody

Jose Gonzalez Veneer for some really chilled out relaxing music, quite good album although some songs are a bit samey!

I'd thoroughly recommend some of the following:

Air - Moon Safari, Talkie-Walkie
Atjazz - Labfunk, That Something
Bar De Lune Present Radar - Nothing Is Real
Bonobo - Dial M For Monkey, Anmial Magic, One Offs Remixes And B-Sides
Craig Armstrong - As If Nothing, Piano Works, The Space Between Us
Crazy Penis - A Nice Hot Bath With, 24 Hour Psychedelic Freakout
Enigma - The Cross Of Changes
Enya - Too many albums :p
Everything But The Girl - Walking Wounded and other albums.
Groove Armada - Vertigo
Mazzy Star - Among My Swan, She Hangs Brightly, So Tonight That I Might See
Moby - Hotel Ambient (CD 2 of Hotel)
Thievery Corporation - Cosmic Game, The Richest Man in Babylon
Thunderball - Scorpio Rising
Tosca - Dehli 9, Suzuki
Waldeck - The Night Garden, Balance Of The Force
Zero 7 - Simple Things, When It Falls

I could go on. There are varied genre's there but a lot of it you can chill out to. It should last you quite a bit :p, have fun :).

OM LOUNGE 1 througth to 10, some of the best chilled music ever.

Couple of comments about the the latest OM LOUNGE 10,

“If you’re searching for something sweet and sexy to set a sophisticated mood, don’t look any further.” – URB

“Om once again redefines the boundaries of contemporary lounge with a gamut-running collection of sassy soul and dream-inducing downtempo on the spliffy, cooled out cocktail tip.” – THE EXAMINER

Start with the early ones first as they are the best.

Bjork - Homogenic
Moby - Play, 18
Ian Brown - Music of the Spheres
Nightmares On Wax - Smokers Delight
The Orb - U.F O.R.B
Primal Scream - Vanishing Point
Primal Scream - Echo Dek (Dub Remix of Vanishing Point)
Red Snapper - Our Aim Is To Satisfy

I'm listening to Rob Dougan - Furious Angels (album) at the moment. Chilled out with a dash of misery which is perfect.

Nice album mate, I just got that myself, comes with an extra instrumental cd as well, absolutely love track 7 - There's Only Me, I don't know what it is with the number 7, on a good 80 percent of my albums number 7 is usually my fav track  .

Nightmares on Wax is pretty nice.

Cinematic Orchestra is stunning if you want something a bit more thoughtful.

Agreed, great track ;) . Number 9 is my fave "Nothing At All" :)

Some top ambient albums:

Selected Ambient Works 85-92 - Aphex Twin - it's got more beats than S.A.W II, but still very ambient.

Selected Ambient Works 85-92 - Aphex Twin - less beats than S.A.W. 85-92, so perhaps more ambient :P

Symbol - Susumu Yokota - Japanese ambience, using samples of well-known classical pieces to create something a bit special.

There are more, but its probably best to name a select few for now :)
