This is a long shot, but has anyone ever made chimney cakes before? We're hosting a Eurovision gathering tomorrow and everyone's bringing food from their drawn country. I've got Hungary and having been there and the various other countries that do chimney cakes I'd like to give them a go.

I've got a fire pit so should be able to construct something to hold them, but unsure how to do the dough, or whether that can be bought, and how to construct the cylinder to wrap it around.

Might a Polish shop sell that type of dough ready made? And any suggestions on how to create the cylinder?

There are a few videos on youtube of making them, they seem to use a wooden cylinder over the coals and they have recipes for the pastry.

You could also give the other hungarian dish a go; langos. Might be easier if you have a fryer.
