Chinese double DINs

The Evo I've just bought has a Chinese double DIN in it. It's got sat nav, full bluetooth, iPod connectivity etc, basically everything a £400+ unit has. Anyone know much about them and what they're worth? I have a W502R here that I kept from my ATR which I was going to put back in but if there's nothing seriously wrong with the Chinese units then I may just keep it considering it does have a lot of features. The only issue I'm having is an alternator whine but I think that perhaps the amp isn't grounded properly, I intend on looking into this.

Whine is likely to require an (or 2) inline suppressor. The units tend to break fairly quickly from what I have read, but while they work they give acceptable performance. I would just wait until it fails to be honest.

I once fitted a panasonic headunit in my car and I thinik tinkering around with it whilst it was on was what caused the internal earth track to blow.
This started my alternator whine, I ended up soldering a wire to the PCB inside and screwing the other end of it to the chassis of the headunit.
This solved the problem for me :)
