I'm on the hunt for instant noodles as good as the ones in China, particularly these:

I've tried a lot of what's on the shelves - Batchelors, 20p Tescos own (which are better than Batchelors) and a few other random ones.

The above are the ULTIMATE noodles, I have never tasted anything so good and really miss them. They were a standard go-to meal if I wasn't going out for food during my time in China.

Any ideas where I can get some, or any recommendations for super unhealthy super delicious noodles I can get in the UK?

Thanks

Not sure how much you know about this stuff so i'll assume you don't know the name, but try searching for Ramen. :)

I've picked it up from Tesco etc in the past but it seems a bit hit and miss as whether they stock it.

I think there are a few people on here who order boxes of it online but i don't know the names of the places.

Super delicious AND super unhealthy AND super instant?

It cannot be done!

You wouldn't believe. These are THE BEST.

I don't know the name unfortunately, but I did suspect they were made by Big Bon during my travels because of very similar packaging, which is a Russian company. My brother and I first found Big Bon while on the trans-siberian, sold by the street vendors on the stops - absolute life saver as we ran out of food (we actually got skinny in the 10 days or however long it was on there lol), we then bought the ones in the pic above because of the similar packaging and they were a simply incredible find :D

I've found Ramen online for 45p, will order some with my next shop, thank you. They come in plastic packaging like Batchelors etc. but will try them :)

I literally just found that as you posted after a search for 'chinese instant noodles chef logo' :D

Also go by the name Kang-shifu

Thank you!!! :D

Now for some online shop searches!

[Edit]
Found a couple of stores online, but postage is a bit steep :(

Have ordered some Ramen for now in my next Tesco delivery - I had a look at their bowls and they look very similar to some of the ones we had through Russia. I shall be forever in your debt if they're as good TheSgtDK.

I've had Demae Ramen noodles they ok with some nice selection.

There also Shin Cup Ramen they have this hot and spicy one which is way to spicy for me even only using a little bit still makes it spicy.

There also Nissin they nice.

But to be honest i've never really had instant noodles and said wow these are awesome.

Hopefully they are.

When I make mine I usually make them more soupy and poach an egg in with them, but you can add all kind of stuff. :D

My dad brought me back a pot similar to that from a business trip, might try and dig it out the back of the cupboard if they are that good :D

I like the Ko-Lee Go Hot and Spicy. I add some pieces of cooked chicken or turkey breast and some extra hot sauce.

Your local Chinese supermarket should have loads of variety of these, along with conventional soup noodles in packets. I have these for breakfast at the weekends with some birds eye chillies, sliced beef, occasionally some fish balls, spinach and pak choi.

Not sure where, but good point, didn't really think of that. There must be one round here somewhere!

I enjoyed the chilli demae ramen, makes for a good snack. Not quite the Chinese ones, but certainly getting there!

Will give some others mentioned in here a try :)

As said, the Nong Shim Shin Cup are rather excellent. Look below for many noodles :) I go to the actual store whenever I'm in Bristol and come back with a few boxes of various things :) I thought I found those exact noodles you posted but it just looked similar.

http://www.waiyeehong.com/ SPend over £25 and you can get standard delivery for £4.50

I buy these all the time, plenty of asian shops in London stock them, even non-asian corner-shops sometimes do due to the long shelf-life.

Tend to always have a few at home and at work for emergency grub.

I am literally eating a Nong Shim as I type. Bought in Asda, they only do the Hot & Spicy flavour though. I have to be careful not to let the left over juice hit the back of my throat, its like danger soup.
