Question... someone comes to you with a laptop with Windows XP on it. This verison of XP is Chinese, it was bought in China and installed in China by a Chinese person. Everything about it screams China to you, at least you think it does but you cant quite tell because its all in Chinese.

Now, what is the easiest way to switch that install of XP so that it all reads in English; all the settings boxes, icons etc. are in English temporarily before changing it back to Chinese again?

Answers in English if you would be so kind :)

You have to procure the MUI (multilanguage user interface) component for XP and install it before you can change the system menus and stuff.

unfortunately you probably can't get that officially:

"How can I acquire Windows MUI?

The Windows XP/2000 MUI is sold only through Volume Licensing programs such as the Microsoft Open License Program (MOLP / Open), Select, and Enterprise agreement (or with a new computer as an OEM version at customer request). It is not available through retail channels. "
