I have a chip all the way down to the metal of the tank (due to following behind my idiot of a brothers slick tyres pinging up every stone on the ground) - is there anything you OcUKers recommend or shall I just go into my local Halfords and see if they have something?

I don't mind the look of the chip, I love a bike that looks used, but I don't want it to start rusting.

Cheers.

Any pics of it? Clear lacquer touch up stick? If its not deep try t cutting it out

If its down to the metal then try eBay for a colour matched touch up stick

You want a fine touch up stick or pen and build up the layers, could try jawel paints but I think they only do aerosols, try spraywell paints aswell, then put clear lacquer on top

bikecolours are decent ive used them, only gripe is the sticks have a large brush compared to the halford ones

I would like to see a before and after picture if possible please.

I have a key scratch on the zzr silver tank what some little **** did and have kept the wound clean for 4 years, when It first happened I asked 3 different sprayers but none could 100% say they would be able to blend-in to match so a stick or touch up kit is the next best thing.

When I told them the colour is metallic silver and a motorcycle tank you could he the sigh on the other end of the phone apparently silver is a sod to match.

One dude did offer to have the bike for a week and in between jobs ever now and then fill the scratch layer buy layer by hand until built up and polish out.

I've used bike colours before to do a small touch up. Mines on the corner but if you dont feel like you can do a good job painting some clear nail polish to stop any chance of rust then maybe a couple of decals. even if its just the brand of the bike stuck on top then another one matching on the opposite side.
