Hi,

I'm not sure if there has been a post about this before but I was wondering what peoples opinions were on the Chips Away mobile repair company.

Also I would like to hear about any good or bad experiences with them.

Thanks

It all depends on how good your local chips away franchise is. Some are good, some bad.

If you're not happy with their work at least you should have some comeback as they're a large national company.

I'll let you know in about two weeks as I've just booked my car with Car Medic, same type of outfit.

someone drove into my rear bumper, and I need a bumper repair.. Was a lot lot cheaper then going to an auto bodyshop... From the samples he has shown me, they do appear to get a good match..

i have a friend in my car club who used them, let me just copy and paste his post he made

ah here it is

Just to let you know guys, had my car 'fixed' by these guys yesterday morning, took 3 hours and the scratches, deep and not so deep have nearly COMPLETELY dissapeared!

Great result for a good price indeed, 10% off as an AA member too so came to £170 for everything, including pretty much completely respraying back bumper as well as everything else!"

Anyway, we hear of all these horror stories, just thought I'd stick up a positive one, thumbs up from me

Thats good to know. I've been quoted a fix price of £90 to fix the rear bumper on a Honda Accord (03 new shape), left side, and left side door mirror.

Didn't sound too bad to me. Got quoted £250 for a respray from an auto body shop, and this wasn't including the mirror. The Accord has a very big rear bumper.
