i was wondering if there is anyway i can uninstal my chipset driver and re-install it?

basically i updated this for my mobo but now when i enter the bios is is painfully slow and takes an age to move through the options.

I think you mean the BIOS updates rather than chipset drivers,as drivers wouldn't affect BIOS navigation.I *think* it's simply a case of flashing in an older one.Maybe someone else can rectify/clarify this?

Like ExRayTed mentioned I think the chipeset drivers only load with your operating system.
If your BIOS is slow try updating this or doing a CMOS reset, but this will reset any overclocks you have and voltages.

cheers for the replys guys.

basically this has happend before with this board. i've re flashed the same bios and done a clear cmos but it's still slow.

also my cpu temp sensors might be on the blink as they're reporting quite large differences between each core.

maybe my mobo is on the blink so a new one is in order??

i'm going to try and flash back to 08 bios. this one always worked fine for me.

but then again it's my big 30 in Nov so i may just wait and upgrade completely with my bd money :D

ok this is annoying now.

i backdated my bios last night and everything was fine. have logged on this morning as normal to receive a "Verifying DMI pool data".

instantly i knew something was up so restarted, went into bios and it's back being slow again.

what could be causing my bios to get currupted? Piece of software?

it's quite annoying as i'm worried it's affecting the performance of my machine.

Strange one, try running mem-test to check your ram and possible some hard disc diagnostics from Samsung just to rule out any hardware problems with these.

also i was thinking.

could there be a problem with my Keyboard?

I'm using a Dell Multimedia USB Keyboard and a couple of times yesterday when booting up it wouldn't go past the splash screen as it said "no keyboard found press F1 to continue or DEL to enter setup"

i had to reboot a couple of times before this went.
