Ok, so I am having a bit of a moment!

I have just built a new machine with an Asus H81I-Plus Intel H81 mobo, and I am now trying to install windows 10 on to it.

This machine doesn't have a DVD drive, so I have downloaded the ISO and used Rufus to make a bootable USB drive. Booting from that USB drive, it loads up Windows 10 setup fine, but when I come to installing, it is asking me to install drivers, I guess so it can access the SATA devices.

Now my question, how do I get those drivers in to the Win 10 install media so I can install them? I have copied them on to another USB drive to insert and install from there, but the Win 100 setup doesn't see that driver either.

Any ideas?

have you tried a USB 2 port at all for the second SUB drive?

i have done a clean install of W10 on a X58 system with no issues on sata 2 ports with SSDs

whats your system setup?

Ignore this... I was being stupid and put the USB drive in the USB 3 slot, which Windows Setup wasn't happy about. Put it in a USB 2 slot, and its fine.
